Important Pottery Project Information

By purchasing this class or project, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the Pottery Project Information and Policies listed below.

Create Your Project

You will create your pottery project during your scheduled class or private event.

Drying & First Firing

Your project will need approximately 2–3 weeks to dry completely before it goes through its first kiln firing (bisque firing).

Finishing Your Project

Depending on the class or project selected, your piece may be:

  • Painted with underglaze during class.

  • Painted with acrylic paints during a return visit.

  • Glazed by Tiffany's Ceramics staff.

  • Glazed by you during a scheduled return visit.

Please refer to the individual class or project description for finishing details.

Painting Appointments

Appointments are recommended for returning to paint or glaze your project; however, walk-ins are welcome whenever space and staffing allow.

Second Firing

Projects that are glazed during class or glazed by staff require a second kiln firing and are typically ready for pickup approximately 3–4 weeks after the original creation date.

Project Status

Tiffany's Ceramics (TC) does not call, text, or email when projects are ready for pickup. It is the customer's responsibility to contact the studio to check the status of their project and arrange pickup.

Pottery Disclaimer

Pottery is a handmade art form, and every project is unique. Clay is a natural material and can be unpredictable throughout the drying, glazing, and firing processes.

While TC follows professional ceramic practices and handles every project with care, we cannot guarantee the successful completion of any handmade pottery project. Projects may occasionally crack, warp, break, explode, stick to kiln shelves, glaze improperly, or otherwise become damaged during drying, handling, glazing, or firing. These risks are a normal and unavoidable part of the pottery process.

Refund Policy

All class registrations and project purchases are non-refundable.

No refunds or credits will be issued for:

  • Missed classes or appointments.

  • Projects damaged, lost, or destroyed during the normal pottery process.

  • Projects left beyond the abandonment period.

  • Customer dissatisfaction with the natural appearance of handmade pottery.

Abandoned Projects

Completed projects must be picked up within 60 days of completion unless prior arrangements have been made with TC.

Projects not picked up within 60 days will be considered abandoned and become the property of Tiffany's Ceramics. Abandoned projects may be donated, recycled, displayed, sold, or discarded at TC's discretion.
