Private Party Reservation & Cancellation Policy

Party Reservation

First, choose the project for your private party.

Then call or stop in to schedule your preferred date and time. Your reservation is confirmed once your reservation payment has been received. Date is NOT held until payment is made. 

A minimum reservation of two (2) participant spots is required to reserve a private party.

Reserve six (6) or more participant spots to receive an automatic group discount.

  • 2–5 participant spots: No Discount

  • 6–11 participant spots: 5% Off

  • 12–17 participant spots: 10% Off

  • 18–23 participant spots: 15% Off

  • 24+ participant spots: 20% Off

Your discounted rate is locked in when you book. Additional participant spots may be added up to 24 hours prior to your event, subject to availability, at your original locked-in discounted rate.

Party Size

  • A minimum of two (2) participant spots is required to reserve a private party.

  • Maximum party size is 35 participants.

Reservation Changes & Cancellations

No Cash Refunds!

The first $25 of your reservation payment is a non-refundable reservation fee for cancellations or reservation changes made within seven (7) days of the scheduled event.

Any prepaid reservation amount exceeding the initial $25 reservation fee will be issued as studio credit, valid for 12 months from the original party date.

Studio credit has no cash value and may be used toward future pottery classes, private parties, or eligible purchases at TC.

Reserved Participant Spots

Reserved participant spots are held exclusively for your private party and cannot be resold once your reservation has been confirmed.

All reserved participant spots are non-refundable. No refunds, credits, or transfers will be issued for guests who are unable to attend or for participant spots that go unused.

To receive the best available group discount, please reserve only the number of participant spots you reasonably expect to attend.

Additional participant spots may be added up to 24 hours prior to your event, subject to availability, at your original locked-in discounted rate.

Party Duration

Private parties are reserved for up to 3 hours.

This reserved time includes:

  • Project instruction

  • Creating your pottery project

  • Celebration time

  • Cleanup

  • Gathering personal belongings

Please plan your activities to fit within your scheduled reservation.

Additional time is not guaranteed and is subject to studio availability. If additional time is requested and approved, additional charges may apply.

Pottery Party Projects

To provide the best experience for everyone attending:

  • All participating guests will complete the same selected project.

  • A TC instructor will provide instruction for the selected party project only.

  • Individual DIY projects are not recommended and will not receive instructor assistance during private parties.

Food & Celebrations

Private parties are welcome to celebrate during their reserved time.

Permitted refreshments include:

  • Cupcakes, cookies, cold snacks

  • Pizza or food delivery

  • Non-alcoholic beverages only

Simple table decorations are welcome, provided they remain within your reserved party area.

Please note:

  • No refrigerator or food storage is available.

  • No electrical outlets are provided to heat food.

  • Alcoholic beverages are not permitted.

The party host is responsible for removing all decorations, gifts, food, beverages, and personal belongings before the reservation ends.

Studio Environment

Private parties receive a dedicated instructor; however, TC remains open during normal business hours.

Other customers, studio members, artists, and classes may be present during your event.

Private parties reserve seating and instruction but do not include exclusive use of the studio.

Guest Responsibility

The party host is responsible for the conduct and supervision of all guests attending the event.

Children must remain under the supervision of a parent or responsible adult at all times.

Guests are expected to treat studio equipment, furniture, tools, and supplies with care.

The reservation holder accepts financial responsibility for any damage to studio equipment, furniture, fixtures, or facilities caused by members of their party beyond normal wear and tear.

Handmade Pottery

Ceramics is a handmade art form, and every project is unique.

Participants understand and acknowledge that pottery may occasionally:

  • Crack

  • Warp

  • Break

  • Develop defects during drying

  • Develop defects during firing

  • Develop defects during glazing or finishing

While TC follows professional ceramic practices and handles every project with care, we cannot guarantee the successful completion of any handmade pottery project.

Because these risks are an inherent part of the ceramic process, no refunds, credits, or replacements will be issued for projects damaged or lost during drying, firing, glazing, or finishing.

Finished Pottery Projects

Pottery projects require time to dry and be kiln fired. Please allow approximately 2–3 weeks for your project to be completed and ready for pickup.

Depending on the project selected, participants may be invited to return to the studio to glaze or paint their project before its final firing. Individual project descriptions will indicate whether an additional visit is required.

TC does not contact participants when projects are ready. It is the participant's responsibility to check the status of their project.

Once a project is ready for the next step or pickup, participants may return during normal business hours or schedule a convenient pickup time with the studio.

Participants are encouraged to clearly mark their projects for easy identification.

Project Abandonment

All projects must be completed and picked up within 60 days of the original project creation date unless prior arrangements have been made with TC.

Projects not completed or picked up within 60 days will be considered abandoned.

Abandoned projects become the property of TC and may be discarded, donated, recycled, displayed, or sold at the studio's sole discretion.

No refunds, credits, or replacements will be provided for abandoned projects.

TC is not responsible for lost or stolen projects.

Personal Property

TC is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property brought into the studio.

Agreement

By submitting the required reservation payment, the party host acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by this Private Party Reservation & Cancellation Policy.
